While there is a lot of rock of various types in Denali, there are also softer substances such as sandstone. Yielding to my tendency to see and create somewhat abstract images from ordinary concrete objects and scenes, I took an dull and lifeless image and transformed it to what my mind's eye saw. Sometimes I like to portray things just as they are, other times some obscure part of my brain wants to create something abnormal from the normal. This was such an occasion.
