Taken from Polychrome Overlook in Denali National Park. When the river is mostly dry like this it is referred to as the Braided River, for the sinuous windings that remain. I took this shot during the middle of a sunny day, but envisioned a high contrast, abstract image. I put the finishing touches on it when I got home.
